Afghan President Admits Network ISIS Start Rooted,. Kabul: Afghan President Ashraf Ghani admitted for the first time publicly that the militant group Islamic State (ISIS) began exerting influence in the country.


Various reports emerging that some Taliban commanders have declared loyalty to the ISIS, or also called Daesh in Arabic acronym.

"Characteristics Daesh are eating each other. They swallow competitors," Ghani said on a number of members of the media, as preached by Reuters on Saturday (21/03/2015).

"Here (Afghanistan), ISIS is not a physical representation of Syria or Iraq. That feels is the effect of the network," he continued.

Ghani, who was about to meet US President Barack Obama on Tuesday, reiterated the threat ISIS should not be underestimated.

Before Ghani, statements about ISIS leveled Afghanistan presidential chief of staff, Abdul Salam Rahimi.

"Daesh here. They really exist here," said Abdul Salam Rahimi.

Rahimi call ISIS presence in Afghanistan consists of a small group of local residents and foreign fighters. They use Afghanistan as a transit point to launch terrorist acts elsewhere.
