UN Secretary Call Lee Kuan Yew Most Inspiring Asian Leaders,. New York - The heads of state and world leaders, including Secretary General (Secretary General) Ban Ki Moon also expressed deep condolences on the death of Lee Kuan Yew.

"Father of the nation will still be remembered as one of Asia's most inspiring leaders," said Secretary General Ban through his spokesman, as reported by the Straits Times on Monday (23/03/2015).


"Legendary figure in Asia, which is widely respected for his leadership and kenegarawannya strong," he said about the figure of Lee Kuan Yew.

Secretary-General Ban praised the efforts of Lee Kuan Yew for 31 years served as Prime Minister of Singapore, Singapore capable of carrying a developing country into one of the most advanced countries in the world.

"(Secretary General Ban) Grateful for close cooperation between the government of Singapore to the United Nations, and hope to deepen this partnership," he said.

Lee Kuan Yew's health condition worsened since admitted to the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) on 5th February, suffering from severe pneumonia. The father of Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong's, died at the age of 91 years on Monday (23/3) morning, around 3:18 pm local time.

State funeral will be held on Sunday (29/3) afternoon. After that, the deceased is to be cremated privately.

But before that, the public is given the opportunity to pay their last respects to Lee Kuan Yew, because the deceased will be buried at the Singapore parliament building on Wednesday (25/3) to Saturday (28/3) future.
